Why this exists
A Goethe exam costs €235 to €290 and a seat is booked months ahead. Most people who sit one are not doing it for pleasure. They need it for a visa, for citizenship, for a nursing licence, for a university place. Failing costs the fee again and pushes the whole plan back a season.
The worst part is not the German. It is walking in without knowing whether you are above the line. Textbooks tell you what a Teil is. Official Modellsätze give you one shot each, then you know the answers. Neither one tells you your score.
Faust exists to remove that blindness. You take a full paper under exam conditions, you get the score and the Teil that cost you the points, and you do it again on a fresh paper. By the time you book the exam, the result is not a surprise.
